It serves as a good example that any design can be realized with WordPress and the power of Genesis.

The look and feel after the conversion process was exactly the same as it was before CssWebsite started to work on the project. The Drupal theme came with custom Javascript code that was smoothly implemented into the Genesis child theme.

  • Rewrite of the Genesis Featured Page widget to fit the needs of the website.
  • Extensive use of custom fields (through post meta boxes) to organize the content. This enables site administrators to add content to specific areas of the website without thinking about complex layout requirements.
  • Heavy customization of category and single post templates. Single posts are bare of all surrounding layout elements because they are opened in a popup.

Theme features:

  • Heavy use of Cufon font replacement: for the main navigation, the footer and the image descriptions on the gallery page.
  • The gallery page integrates with Nivo slider, CSS transform for text rotation (the vertical orange bar) and Cufon.
    The image description is loaded dynamically from the WordPress dashboard into the vertical bar.
  • An upload form is loaded into a jQuery Colorbox window.

Since this CMS did not meet the client’s requirements, CssWebsite converted the website to WordPress using the Genesis theme framework.

We kept the look and feel of the original website and we were also responsible for transferring all existing content to the new, WordPress powered website.
